~Give us our (thrice weekly) bread ~Blind Baker, New Lambton NSW!!
Bread. It’s a staple of most people’s lives. When I was diagnosed with Celiac 22 years ago there was ONE loaf of sunflower bread available at the health food shop and it was as heavy as a house brick. And you know what, I-Ate-It. Because that’s all there was!
Today there are so many more choices both in supermarkets and boutique bakers. I can honestly say that I now have a new favourite and the bakery is LOCAL! Wahoo!
The Blind Baker at New Lambton is a new boutique bakery that makes gluten free breads on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday each week. I have been lucky enough to eat my way through the process of test batches and am now an official convert to their beautiful, great tasting and REAL sandwich sized white loaf. MMMMM grilled cheese sandwiches and cashew butter toast is now mine to savour deliciously!

and a GF multi-grain that will rock your world
The team have been experimenting with a GF Sourdough but while the crust was super crispy, the inside tasted like the white loaf without that sourdough tang and it had a big hole in it unfortunately. I have no doubt it will be perfected, though!
But this weekend we had the most amazing chicken & veggie pies for dinner.
These were so delicious I cannot EVEN! I want more
